COVID-19 Protocol + Practices
Local Honey® is OPEN. We have extended our working schedule to best serve the community.
Local Honey proactively formed a panel with a medical doctor, a nurse, and an epidemiologist to privately determine our best safety measures for you, our guests. We can assure you that we are going above and beyond all measures that the state has mandated for other salons to reopen. Local Honey will continue to provide the cleanest and safest environment that a salon can offer.
We have improved air filtration, cleaned ductwork, upgraded air handling, provided contactless payment options, created safer spaces and modified areas where contamination could occur. We have implemented a new revised process for check-ins and reception. Social distancing is in practice throughout the workplace.
Many things will be different, but we can only see these as improvements to the already superior service you have come to expect from Local Honey. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
An employee of Local Honey will check you in for your appointment. Guests will wait in their car or outside until notified by a staff member that we are ready for their service. Please be considerate of the extra time that may be required to clean and sanitize* our work area before service. Expect possible delays, as each day brings a new set of challenges.
Clients will wash their hands upon arrival and be provided with hand sanitizer before entering the salon area. Guests may bring their own masks, or we can provide one for your visit. All services require a mask.
Services are by reserved appointments only. One client per stylist in the salon. No guests, companions, friends, children UNLESS they are receiving service at the same time. Companions will wait outside.
Stations and chairs sanitized with hospital cleanser designed to eliminate Coronavirus, and any other transmittable contagion before each guest.
Shampoo chairs and neck rests sanitized before every guest using Enviro Care® Neutral Disinfectant spray and Discide® Ultra towelettes. Scissors, combs, brushes disinfected + sanitized with Barbicide® before each guest.
All capes are single-use: washed + sanitized off-site + rested for 1 week. Towels are single-use and laundered and sanitized professionally by A Cleaner World + rested for 1-week minimum.
Contactless payment options are available through ApplePay and contactless chip systems if your card provider enables it.
The clinic floor and bathrooms are disinfected and cleaned on an hourly rotation.
Allow our staff to gather your retail products. We can collect them from inventory and have them ready at the reception area. Help us to minimize contact to serve you better.
Local Honey has discontinued our beverage services. No glasses to wash and handle. Our Library remains closed until July 2020.
Social distancing will be practiced by staff throughout the day.
Local Honey® is a “will-to-work” employer. Our staff members are empowered to make their best decisions for scheduling a comfortable and safe working condition. Employees voluntarily determine their best schedule for return and are not required to work. We ask that our clientele be understanding of our policies and personal conditions that could impact scheduling.
When you are at Local Honey®, your health and safety are a priority. We are committed to excellence in hair design, retail curation, education, and sanitation.
